nLighten expands in UK with Proximity buy

I Squared Capital-backed nLighten has expanded its UK presence by acquiring Proximity Data Centres.

The move increases nLighten's data centre count to 26 and brings its workforce to 130.

The deal aligns with nLighten’s sustainability goals, as Proximity's facilities are fully powered by renewable energy.

John Hall, Managing Director Colocation at Proximity., added: “Being part of the nLighten group of data centers will accelerate the expansion of our portfolio of new products and services tailored for the edge computing market.”
