NTT Data UK has extended its ongoing 13-year partnership with eir, an Irish telecommunications provider.
With the new managed services agreement, NTT Data will safeguard and drive eir’s business-critical IT systems during its digital transformation and migration process, support eir in retiring legacy applications and infrastructure, and facilitate its move towards open-source technology, the company said.
To deliver these services, NTT Data UK has teams located in Ireland, India and other global locations working to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 application, infrastructure, cyber security, and help desk services across the telco’s systems.
“We’re very proud of the level of collaboration we’ve reached with eir,” Shane O’Toole, client partner for eir at NTT DATA UK, said. “Our partnership has grown over more than a decade, so we’re now not only looking after the IT applications and infrastructure but are also providing cyber security, help desks and wider services. We look forward to continuing to support eir for years to come, as its trusted partner for IT transformation and beyond.”
“From wide-ranging IT support to running our help desk, we see NTT DATA UK as an extension of our team at eir,” Brian Chapman, CIO at eir Ireland, added. “The team – whose expertise has been invaluable to us – has integrated with our internal processes and employees incredibly smoothly. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership and implementing new solutions that will help our business to grow as well as enable us to provide the best experience for our customers.”
