Record early registrations for London software event as agenda unveiled

Aims to answer vital industry and channel questions in a time of great change

The European software and IT solutions industry is in a state of flux as it responds to the new digital age. Old relationships with both customers and suppliers are under pressure, and new ways of selling and new types of customer engagement are causing strategies to change.

How this plays out in the UK and Europe generally is the focus of the European Software and Solutions Summit, held this year in London on April 14. Early registrations are higher than last year, showing how the industry is committed to looking for answers. An updated agenda just published shows how questions can be posed and discussed in a variety of ways, using a combination of research-driven presentations and more detailed focus sessions.

In our first conference session, beginning with an opening keynote presentation from a leading analyst, our speakers will give their views on how the digital age is also heralding a new era of business. IT Industry analysts have coined the terms Industry 4.0 and Enterprise IT 3.0 to try to define the changes that are happening as organisations try to embrace digital technologies. Our speakers in this session will try to define these terms and what that means to ISVs and solution providers who are an essential element in enabling organisations to effectively transform themselves. This session will include a speaker from a leading analyst who will bring the latest research and ideas to set the scene for the day.

Platinum sponsor IBM will be presenting its Cognitive Strategy and what it means for the ISVs. In breakout sessions, NaviSite CTO David Grimes will address the changes in software delivery, wile experts PanIntelligence will examine the use of big data as a catalyst for change.

The afternoon keynote focuses on Europe's data-innovation-led future, with Paul MacDonnell, Head of European Policy at the Centre for Data Innovation, followed by sessions with IBM, ISV World, database vendor Tmaxsoft and IT Europa's own research. Finally, the race for value in the business will gain some insights from experts in m&a strategy.
