AIM-listed managed service provider and data centre services player Redcentric has named a new CEO.
Brian Woodford has been appointed to the board, effective 3 February, 2025. Woodford will assume the role of CEO after an "anticipated" two-month transition period, and a smooth handover of responsibilities with Peter Brotherton who is stepping down as CEO of the company.
Brotherton said: "The business is now in a very different place to when I joined in November 2016, with solid foundations now in place for sustainable and profitable growth. It has been a privilege to work with so many talented professionals during my eight years at Redcentric, and I am tremendously proud of what we achieved and delivered for our clients."
Woodford has previously held senior positions at Capita, Tata Communications, Vodafone and Cable & Wireless.
Woodford said: "I look forward to collaborating with everyone across the organisation to continue innovating, expanding our market presence, and delivering value to our clients and shareholders."
Last November, Redcentric said sales were up 5.8% to £86.8m in the first six months to the end of September. Recurring revenue accounted for around 90% of total revenue, and growing 4.6%.
The company reported progress in its four key strategic objectives, namely, sustaining organic growth, improving operational efficiencies, making more upgrades to it data centres, and separating the business into the two main segments - data centres and MSP services.
Redcentric added it was seeing “large-scale” opportunities to provide data centre space to host AI cloud platforms.
