Global data management and protection SaaS business Redstor has formed a partnership with Bocada LLC, an IT automation company.
The partnership will allow both Redstor and Bocada LLC to provide MSPs with greater visibility over customer environments while increasing their revenue-generating opportunities, both firms claim.
MSP managing customer backups with Redstor’s cloud-native solution now have access to Bocada’s single pane dashboard to oversee these environments alongside those protected by another cloud, on-prem or hybrid implementations.
Additionally, the integration of their platforms gives MSPs further oversight over end customer backup operations, they both said. Bocada’s automated aggregation of backup and storage performance metrics across enterprise backup solutions like Redstor and Bocada supposedly allows MSPs to reduce the labour hours of their daily backup operations monitoring and monthly SLA audits.
Developing a Redstor plugin comes in direct response to MSP customers in South Africa looking for alternative ways to automate the oversight of end-customer backup operations, said Matt Hall, Bocada’s sales leader.
“Several of our regionally-based MSP customers are selecting Redstor as a backup product of choice for its adaptable, cloud-native backup and recovery features,” he said. “However, they still need centralised monitoring to build efficiencies into their BaaS offerings. Introducing native support for Redstor not only addresses these operational needs but also gives MSPs additional opportunities to win new accounts with cloud-only environments.”
