Riverbed | Aternity has appointed two senior vice presidents to boost its sales and channels efforts in network and application management.
Reporting to Shaun Bierweiler, chief revenue officer, Alex Thurber (pictured) has been made SVP for global partners and alliances, to oversee the partner and channel ecosystem. And Craig McCullough is now SVP for the company’s business focused on US federal, state and local government customers.
The Riverbed | Aternity unit is an amalgamation of Riverbed's network management and optimisation products and Aternity's digital experience management (DEM) solutions, and was formed at the back-end of last year.
“We’ve appointed two proven technology executives with long histories of leading strategic partner and government-focused programmes, while delivering a top-notch customer experience,” said Bierweiler. “Alex and Craig will guide already strong divisions within our company and prepare them for the next phase of growth.”
Thurber has been tasked to ensure market and customer needs are met, and to create greater synergies across the entire partner and channel ecosystem. This ecosystem includes system integrators, service providers, reseller partners and technology alliance partners.
Thurber most recently served as chief revenue officer of cloud and observability company Virtana, and has previously held leadership roles at Cisco, BlackBerry, McAfee, WatchGuard and Pulse Secure. At Cisco, he led channel strategy for advanced technologies, and ran worldwide channels at McAfee during its integration with Intel.
“The foundation is there to take the company to the next level of growth, with one of the most innovative partner programmes in the industry, and with partners that are heavily invested in our mutual success in helping our collective customers deliver an exceptional digital experience,” said Thurber.
