Rubrik teams up with Microsoft for AI-driven cyber recovery

Rubrik, Microsoft, and Azure OpenAI are collaborating to accelerate cyber recovery using generative AI and NLP.

This move is intended to enhance cyber resilience by reducing the time needed to respond to cyber incidents.

A recent Rubrik Zero Labs report revealed that only 56% of IT and security leaders updated or created an incident response plan in 2022.

Charlie Bell,  EVP of Security, Compliance, Identity, and Management at Microsoft, said: “Working with Rubrik establishes  a counterpoint to the modern threats that our customers are facing and allows organisations to react to incidents more quickly.”

The project aims to use Rubrik's capability to input time series data insights into Microsoft Sentinel, which will help streamline incident response and accelerate recovery.

Bipul Sinha, CEO and Co-founder of Rubrik, added: “This is an important step forward as we continue our mission of securing the world’s data and helping businesses achieve cyber resilience.”

The collaboration follows Rubrik's initial integration with Microsoft Sentinel in October last year.
