SAP Q3 boosted by German sales

Cloud use continues to grow 6%- 8%

SAP's Q3 adjusted operating profit rose 1% to €1.64bn but came in just below estimates of €1.65bn.Revenue climbed 8% to €5.4bn and topped forecasts of €5.3bn.

SAP obtained over 400 S/4 new Hana customers, with 4100 businesses now running the suite. SAP slightly improved its guidance for adjusted operating profit to €6.5bn-6.7bn from a previous forecast of €6.4bn-6.7bn.

SAP also expects cloud and software revenue to rise 6.5-8.5%.

"The pipeline is more robust than it has ever been going into the fourth quarter," says CEO Bill McDermott. "We're in very good shape on the top line."

EMEA revenue rose 5% to €2.32bn, boosted by German sales, while US revenue increased 7% to €1.77bn and sales in the Asia, Pacific & Japan region came in at €825m
