ScanSource forms ISS Group after acquiring Advantix

Hybrid distributor ScanSource is launching a new Integrated Solutions and Services (ISS) Group after acquiring Advantix, a provider of managed connectivity for VARs.

The ISS Group will focus on boosting technology sales for hardware-focused VARs.

Tony Sorrentino, President, ScanSource Specialty Technologies (pictured), said: “The launch of our ISS group, coupled with the acquisition of Advantix, allows ScanSource hardware VARs to combine connectivity with hardware, software and services, bringing additional value to the hardware sale and enabling a complete hybrid solution."

Advantix, which has partnered with ScanSource for over five years, will continue under Presidents Natasha Royer Coons and Nathan Brown. Meanwhile, Ansley Hoke, a 22-year ScanSource veteran, will lead the ISS Group.

Coons said: “By wrapping value around the hardware that ScanSource sells, we are able to help our partners stack revenue and reduce complexity when integrating solutions for their customers.”

The move was finalised on August 15, 2024, with terms undisclosed.
