Skybox Security remediates top 1% of 'perfect storm' threats with new vulnerability prioritisation features

Skybox Security has released enhanced vulnerability prioritisation functionality with prescriptive remediation analysis. The new capabilities added to its Skybox Security Posture Management Platform enables security teams to remediate top 1% of 'perfect storm' threats.

“In an ideal world, remediation happens as soon as an exposure is discovered. Skybox is making this possible,” said Gidi Cohen (pictured), CEO and founder at Skybox Security.

“No other security software offering is able to provide the comprehensive and accurate prioritisation, exposure analysis, and remediation options that Skybox does. Security leaders can now make better decisions faster,” Cohen added.

The vulnerability prioritisation features, enable enterprises to use its Skybox Security Posture Management Platform to proactively remediate vulnerabilities across hybrid environments from a single source, Skybox Security said.

Additionally, Skybox Security claims the new release allows enterprises to identify remediation options to determine the best approach to rectify any sort of exposure to cyber-attacks.

The vendor said it continues to improve its multi-dimensional network model by integrating technologies from its network of partners, including Claroty, VMWare, F5 Networks, and Arista Networks.

“Integration with all of our elite network of partners including Claroty, VMWare, F5 Networks, and Arista Networks, helps us deliver solutions that strengthen enterprise security configurations, reduce business risk, and eliminate exposures to cybersecurity threats,” Lance Buchholz, Skybox Security VP of route-to-market, told IT Europa.

“Our most recent release specifically expands our platform’s data collection and modelling capabilities with these partner solutions,” Buchholz added.

Skybox partners also have access to full product training and educational material to enhance their skills with the platform, including online and self-paced sales, pre-sales, architect, and professional services certifications.

Skybox Security is allowing partners to develop professional services centred around the Skybox platform. Its partners can offer remote or on-premises support services, fully managed security services, and consultancy auditing services, as well as sell additional modules over time to potentially maximise revenue, Buchholz said.

According to Buchholz, the vulnerability prioritisation feature, is the first of a wave of upcoming product innovations. The vendor plans to roll out several features that focus on secure posture management, ecosystem expansion, vulnerability and threat mediation.
