Software supply chain vendor Sonatype has appointed a new channels leader after reporting a good first quarter.
The company saw over $100m in annual recurring revenue in 2021, and it has now brought in Bruce Gordon to be its senior vice president of global channel sales and alliances.
Gordon has joined Sonatype with 25 years of experience in leading channel sales and strategic alliance teams, at companies like Alteryx, Syniti, SAP, Red Hat and IBM. He is the organisation's first executive-level hire dedicated to growing the global partner ecosystem.
Sonatype’s partners include value-added resellers, system integrators and strategic OEM and technology alliance partners. In his role, Gordon will drive the overall partner sales and go-to-market programme, to deliver greater business outcomes for customers and partners, said the supplier.
One of his key areas of focus will be extending the value of the partner programme, through investments that will deliver greater collaboration and scale among field sellers.
“With the world more focused on software supply chains than ever before, as a result of growing security threats, our holistic approach to understanding software supply chains and providing engineering teams with full insight into their code, is the key driving force behind our continued success, and is why we’re seeing record renewal rates above 95%,” said Wayne Jackson, Sonatype CEO.
In the first quarter of 2022, the firm said new business bookings were up 62% year-over-year, and there was a 50% increase in expansion business year-over-year too.
Sonatype has also promoted Katy Hiller to senior vice president of global marketing.
