Cloud data integration solutions vendor Talend has announced the appointment of two new hires, naming Sam Pierson as chief technology officer and Jason Penkethman (pictured) in the newly created role of chief product officer.
Pierson joins from SaaS company Illuminate Education, where he most recently served as senior vice president of engineering. He was formerly a tech exec at Sansaro Health and also held senior leadership roles in R&D at Veritas and Symantec.

Penkethman, who has 20 years of senior leadership expertise, is a highly accomplished product executive. For the past five years, he has helped drive product innovation and customer value at Spireon Inc., a provider of telematics, risk management and location-based business intelligence solutions.
He has also held product leadership roles with HPE, Nokia Siemens Network, and Verizon Connect.
