Nearly three-quarters (72%) of high-tech leaders in the US, Canada, and Western Europe are initiating plans to grow their revenues this year, according to new research from Gartner.
Though prepared for the 2023 recession, almost half of 175 participants surveyed feel they could outperform the competition by then.
Mark McDonald, VP and Gartner Fellow, said: “Outperforming the market through an uncertain market requires an above-average ability to execute on revenue ambitions.
“The survey results indicate that almost half of the firms (46%) do not have a sufficient ability to execute to reliably realise their revenue goals.”
IT spending is anticipated to increase to 2. 4%, with enterprise technology predicted to grow by 4. 1%.
McDonald added: “Gartner sees relevance as the connection between a provider’s solution and how applicable it is to current customer needs. Without relevance, we see sales cycles extend and renewals at greater risk.”
