Tunstall boosts European footprint with Secuvita deal

Tunstall Healthcare has expanded its business in the Netherlands with the purchase of Secuvita.

Tunstall Healthcare has boosted its channel strategy in the Netherlands with acquisition of Secuvita, a technology service provider, for an undisclosed fee. The deal is the latest step in Tunstall’s transformation from medical equipment manufacturer to medical software and services vendor.

“I’m delighted to announce the acquisition of Secuvita by Tunstall. Secuvita [has] built a strong company based on similar values to Tunstall; a strong collaborative approach to our customers, high levels of accountability and a drive for continuous innovation and service,” commented Gordon Sutherland, CEO of Tunstall Group.

“This approach coupled with Tunstall Cognitive Care programme will offer our customers in the Netherlands an opportunity to explore new ways of delivering enhanced health and social care,” he added.

Tunstall Cognitive Care is a proactive model of patient care, which integrates data from multiple sources, analyses it, and notifies healthcare professionals of any changes in behaviour of the patient.

The deal enables Tunstall to distribute its products in the Netherlands.

“Our customers, clients and employees will benefit from the acquisition as we will be able to offer an increased volume of services and specialist solutions to meet health care needs,” commented Patrick Gaasbeek, director and owner of Secuvita.
