Riverbed Technology, now under the ownership of private equity firm Vector Capital, has named Dave Donatelli as its new CEO, while John Theler has returned to serve as CFO.
Donatelli, having had tenures at Oracle, HPE, EMC, and Mark Logic, will replace Dan Smoot (pictured), Riverbed's CEO since 2021, who will aid the transition.
Theler, recently MarkLogic's CFO, returns with over 20 years of finance experience from various large and mid-sized tech firms.
Stephen Goodman, a Principal at Vector Capital, said: “We are investing in the next phase of growth at Riverbed and believe the company is well positioned to drive greater penetration of its products and services.”
