Viatel Technology Group claims its acquisition of Sungard Availability Services has transformed it into a 'one-stop cloud shop.'
The deal integrates Sungard AS’ multinational customer base, cloud expertise, and data centre facilities with Viatel, enhancing its presence in existing and neighboring markets.
Viatel CEO Paul Rellis said: “We are adding capabilities in AWS public cloud services architecture, high-performance computing and private cloud to our knowledge of Microsoft Azure, private cloud and physical data centre solutions. In short, we are now a one-stop cloud shop.”
This acquisition marks Viatel's eighth since 2020, as the company anticipates €90m-plus in annual revenues and a workforce of 310-plus employees, having recently created 50 jobs for cybersecurity growth.
