Plans expansion in major markets, Nordics

Virtual Instruments, a specialist in application-centric infrastructure performance management, says Sean O’Donnell will be its new EMEA managing director. Sean joins Virtual Instruments from vice president of sales at artificial intelligence (AI) expert IPsoft, where he built sales teams that delivered substantial growth in both new and existing accounts. Prior to this role, Sean built and grew EMEA annual turnover for digital infrastructure management leader SevOne from zero to approximately $20m in five years.

Reporting to Virtual Instruments’ senior vice-president of sales Warren Bell, he is focused on growing the company’s business in EMEA. This includes building business  in the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where Virtual Instruments has customers that include some of the world’s largest banking, finance, telecommunications, and retail organisations. Sean will also aim to increase market share in the Nordic and Benelux markets, with an expanded team offering to deliver support to new and existing customers.
