Virtual Instruments' new president aims at global market

Virtual Instruments, specialist in infrastructure performance analytics, has named veteran Ray Villeneuve as president. He is charged with driving corporate strategy and expanding the company’s market opportunity worldwide. 

With more than 30 years of experience, Villeneuve was previously the CEO of Skytree, an enterprise-class machine learning company. Prior to that, Villeneuve was vice president of corporate development and general manager of the cloud storage acceleration business for Riverbed Technology, which was acquired by NetApp. Previously he was CEO of MonoSphere, a predictive analytics software company focused on IT infrastructure, which was acquired by Dell (Quest). He has also held senior executive positions at storage industry innovators NetApp and Auspex Systems.
