Vonage launches UK channel strategy with new channel lead

Cloud communications vendor Vonage has launched its channel programme in the UK and has appointed Adam Wilson as its UK channel lead.

Wilson reports directly to Mario DeRiggi, SVP of channel sales and business development, who joined the US company a year ago from Windstream as Vonage started to bolster its international channel offering in earnest.

Vonage opened its first office in the UK over a decade ago and employs over 500 in London and Basingstoke, Hampshire. Its Partner Network offers links to distributors, on-demand sales support and marketing and solution support.

Vonage said: “Now, with a revitalised brand and global focus, the company is building upon its success by investing significantly in the UK channel. This gives UK businesses increased access to Vonage’s fully scalable and flexible communications solutions.”

Wilson brings more than 20 years of experience in telecoms, mobile software and cloud services, helping to address the needs of businesses across European and Asian markets. He worked at Telstra prior to joining Vonage, where he developed a channel business in the areas of connectivity, software-defined networks and unified communications as-a-service (UCaaS).

Wilson said: “I am joining the Vonage channel team at a pivotal moment in the brand’s evolution and global expansion. I look forward to leading the charge as Vonage builds relationships within the UK channel market and brings unique, customisable solutions powered by One Vonage to businesses around the world.”

DeRiggi said: “Now is the time for dedicated international leadership as we expand our presence in the UK, our channel move is designed to bring exposure and expertise to communications resellers in a way that immediately expands their market reach, giving them the tools and resources to successfully deliver future-proof communications to their customers.”
