Website security specialist Acunetix is opening its partner programme to include not only resellers, but others such as website providers, developers and designers. Anyone who has professional contact with website owners has the opportunity to join it, the company says. It argues that since all websites need to be secure, therefore anyone involved in creating or maintaining them should now have the opportunity to be a partner.
All partners will receive a margin on any sales made. As an added benefit, resellers will also now be given a free Not for Resale license key for their own use.
Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner aims to detect vulnerabilities. CEO Nick Galea says: “As the volume of cyber security threats grows, so must the knowledge and defenses of the targets. This is basically anyone owning a website, which means our partners now have a huge market available to them. While a vulnerability scanner might previously have been a niche product, it’s now one of the most valuable tools one can have in order to keep a website and data secure. Recognising this, we’re looking for a wider range of resellers and consultants to offer customers our best-of-breed vulnerability scanning software.”
The hurdles to becoming an Acunetix partner are low; the programme is free, requires no commitment upfront and includes the opportunity to attend free training events in order to learn more about the product. The programme includes the traditional three tiers of partnership - Advisor, Partner and Professional Partner - with the higher tiers receiving additional benefits to reflect their achievements such as greater margins, leads, the opportunity to be listed on the Acunetix website and access to free marketing tools.
