XaaS II online event announced for the services channel

The second Everything-As-A-Service Summit (XaaS II) will pick up from the success of the first event and review the increasing drive to the new model. Taking place virtually on March 23 2021, and concentrating on how resellers, partners and channels, including distribution, are offering the new services, it will use the experiences of those making successful transitions and experts in the field.

The main areas to cover will be how managing a services company differs from traditional models, how the marketing of services requires a planned pipeline approach, the resilience required in maintaining service standards and which innovative technologies are best suited to building a secure, progressive environments. Security is a key area which will appear on every services customer tickbox and which will warrant its own special session at the event.

Three fast growing sectors of pivotal importance for the channel:

  • Security-as-a-Service – one of the fastest growing sectors of XaaS and one that is critical in underpinning the development of every other XaaS sector
  • Innovation and Expertise-as-a-Service which will explore the critical role that the channel plays in introducing new technologies such as artificial intelligence, IOT, Edge Computing and Digital Transformation
  • Workspace management and security including work-from-home technologies and issues

XaaS II It will examine in detail, using research, just how the changes in services are reflected in channel attitudes and skills development. These changes are shown in how companies have moved to engage additional tools and new parts of their portfolio, adding considerably to their product and services lines, but also requiring streamlined management and pruning of existing lines, rationalising for efficiency.

Attendees will hear from services practitioners who have changed models, marketing experts on how to talk to customers about services, security specialists on ensuring compliant and effective long-term standards, and customers for services on the difference it makes to their world and how it gives them flexibility in the unusual 2021 market conditions.

“One key aspect is finding the right services solution for a particular vertical market. We know of some creative platforms where revenue models have jumped by several hundred percent. Channels need to know how to find and then sell to these sectors,” says John Garratt, Editor of IT Europa and content director for XaaS II. “Based on ideas from our own research and the success of the first XaaS Summit, we aim to make this the must-attend online event for channels who are looking to supercharge their customer relationships, build their own efficiency and become more agile and flexible themselves through delivering services.”
