Yondr Group, a provider of data centre services, has opened a new 20MW data centre in Slough, West London, with plans to expand it to 100MW, making it the largest in the area.
This is Yondr's first UK data centre, with a second building under construction to add 30MW.
The project includes a partnership with the University Technical College at Heathrow to develop future talent.
Peter Hill, VP of Design & Construction EMEA at Yondr said: “The handover of our first UK data centre is a major milestone, not just for our Slough campus and Yondr, but for the UK’s data centre ecosystem as we respond to the global challenge of increasing data capacity.”
The Slough site is one of six active projects globally, enhancing Yondr's hyperscale portfolio across EMEA, APAC, and North America.
