Zscaler appoints ex-Nuvias CEO as channels leader

Cloud security firm Zscaler has appointed ex-Nuvias leader Paul Eccleston as vice president of international for partners and alliances, to “accelerate” the growth of the Zscaler channel organisation in the EMEA and APAC regions.

For more than 20 years, he has created, built and led channel organisations across EMEA. He was previously executive chairman and CEO of distributor of Nuvias Group, before leaving there in January 2021.

“Paul brings a great wealth of experience to Zscaler, having worked extensively with the leading partners and vendors in the industry, including Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, HP, Dell, Symantec, Juniper, Fortinet, VMWare, Citrix and Zoom, to build successful channels and business relationships,” said Zscaler.

In his role, he takes responsibility for all channel segments and will lead and grow a channel team to build relationships across the distribution, service provider, system integrator, VAR, MSP and alliance partner ecosystem.

“His wealth of experience in scaling channel operations at a global level makes him the perfect fit, as we take the channel organisation to the next level to match the momentum we see for our zero trust based security service portfolio,” said Todd Meister, SVP global partners and alliances at US-headquartered Zscaler.

Eccleston (pictured) said: “Zscaler’s proposition to the channel is the strongest I’ve ever seen, and I’m very much looking forward to maximising this opportunity in my new role, helping partners to address the explosive growth in digital transformation and zero trust security as an answer to ‘working from anywhere’ requirements and securing multi-cloud environments.”

Its network of partners enables joint customers to architect a solution that supports the changing needs of hybrid work and secure multi-cloud environments, said the vendor. Zscaler helps organisations to move away from traditional network infrastructures to the cloud securely, by using the principles of zero trust. “The Zero Trust Exchange platform makes navigating change to digitisation a simpler, faster and more productive experience,” it says.

Distributed across more than 150 data centres globally, the SASE-based Zero Trust Exchange is one of the world’s largest cloud security platforms.

SentinelOne, the autonomous cyber security platform company, has just announced a new integration with Zscaler to simplify enterprise security and provide advanced threat detection and remediation across networks, endpoints and cloud applications.

The joint solution allows SentinelOne's Singularity XDR to ingest Zscaler data, providing end-to-end visibility. The integrated solution empowers SOC teams with contextualised data on abnormal activity, accelerating investigation and threat triage.
