Qlik has finalised the purchase of Kyndi to bolster its ability to extract analytical insights from unstructured data and deliver enhanced AI-driven business outcomes.
This acquisition merges Qlik Cloud's expertise in structured data with Kyndi's capabilities in handling unstructured data.
James Fisher, Qlik Chief Strategy Officer, said: "The acquisition of Kyndi's assets represents a key step in Qlik’s AI vision, supporting our ability to deliver rich, trusted answers from complex business questions.”
As part of the deal, Ryan Welsh, the founder and CEO of Kyndi, along with the firm's AI experts, will be joining Qlik.
Welsh said: “Introducing our innovations into Qlik's technology will enable the merging of structured and unstructured data, thereby empowering users with deeper insights and more informed decisions across a wide range of business scenarios."
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
