Two digital trust and compliance organisations have come together to offer security pros and companies joint programmes.
ISACA, which has become a Community Supporter of CREST, says the move will help close the cyber security skills gap, by equipping professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle emerging threats effectively.
The strategic move, it said, will “enhance the cyber security landscape by promoting higher standards of professionalism, sharing knowledge, and developing skills across the sector”.
The two organisations will provide education, certification, and best practices. “By working together, ISACA and CREST will reach and impact the audience of both organisations, creating joint programmes, opportunities and initiatives designed to benefit organisations and professionals,” the two bodies said.
“Our collaboration with CREST is a pivotal step towards bridging the global cyber security skills gap. Joining CREST aligns perfectly with ISACA’s mission to support the creation of a skilled and ethical cyber security workforce,” said Chris Dimitriadis, chief global strategy officer at ISACA.
Nick Benson, CEO of CREST, added: “Together, we are poised to confront the most critical cyber security challenges and encourage a new wave of talented professionals to enter the field.”
