Fortinet enhances SASE offering with Next DLP acquisition

Security vendor Fortinet has bolstered its Unified SASE offering by acquiring data security start-up Next DLP.

Next DLP offers a next-generation, cloud-native SaaS data protection platform that extends from endpoint to cloud.

Next DLP CEO Connie Stack said that its technology, combined with Fortinet's cloud-native SaaS data protection platform, will "extend the reach of our data security solutions to organisations worldwide." 

Fortinet CEO Ken Xie (pictured) stated, “Next DLP will significantly strengthen our data loss prevention capabilities, helping customers manage insider risk across SASE and endpoint deployments.” 

This acquisition follows Fortinet's recent purchase of security unicorn Lacework.
