IoT connectivity and services firm Digi International has appointed Dane Surkamer as vice president of global channel sales. Digi says the hire signals renewed commitment to its “channel-centric strategy”.
Tony Puopolo, president and GM of Digi’s mobile solutions business unit, said: “Dane’s extensive experience and channel-focused mindset align perfectly with our goals, and his leadership will play a pivotal role as we continue to expand our global channel presence, and provide our channel ecosystem with the solutions, tools and support they need to succeed."
Surkamer will be responsible for “accelerating” revenue growth through Digi’s channel network, and will be an “instrumental part” of the company’s channel programme, said Digi. The aim is to streamline processes and make it easier for VARs and MSPs to collaborate with Digi.
Surkamer said: "My vision is to create a seamless and straightforward experience for our distribution channel, ensuring they have the resources and support to thrive. Digi’s innovative solutions, combined with a simplified channel programme, position us to unlock new opportunities and drive mutual success."
Prior to joining Digi, Surkamer was the senior director of sales for managed services at Ericsson subsidiary Cradlepoint, where he led efforts to expand the company’s business.
