Jobs Board 28 November: Big channel players make key hires

Distributor Exertis Cloud has added five new team members, as it continues to scale operations, deepen its impact in the channel, and “deliver great value to partners”, it says.

The new hires bring experience across sales, technical expertise, commercial, and marketing functions.

Radhika Dattani joins as commercial director, with over 20 years of experience in professional services built across Fast Lane, QA and CompTIA. She aims to add channel partner value with training, enablement and vendor engagement services.

Chris Cave has arrived as commercial manager from Fluid One Business IT (formerly Highlander), and Sophie Lockwood has been named as marketing manager, after four years at Giacom.

In addition, Lauren Foster has been appointed as partner manager, and boasts several Microsoft qualifications, and joining her is Danny Morfitt, as Azure pre-sales specialist, primed to enable MSP partners to navigate and maximise Azure IaaS.

-Microsoft-focused MSP Avanade has named Paula Panarra as its new general manager for the UK and Ireland. She replaces Andy Gillett, who has held the post since September 2018.

With over 30 years of industry experience, Panarra joined Avanade as general manager, Iberia seven months ago. Prior to this, she was at Microsoft for 15 years, where she held key national and international roles.

Panarra began her career at Procter & Gamble. Avanade’s sales in the UK and Ireland total around £400m.

-Digital services player NTT DATA UK&I has named Matt Johnson as solution director for its energy and utilities practice.

With over 30 years of technology experience, Johnson most recently served as chief digital officer at Enzen Global, and has previously held positions at Deloitte, PwC, Capgemini, and IBM. He also previously sat on the board of Trinity Management, overseeing its work with Cadent Gas to deliver the West Midlands gas mains replacement programme.

Johnson’s industry experience also includes working with leading oil, gas, power, and water providers such as Shell, UK Power Networks, SGN, nPower, WWU, ENWL, Welsh Water, Yorkshire Water and Thames Water.

His appointment comes at a crucial time as the industry faces unprecedented challenges in achieving emission targets while maintaining grid resilience.

-Omkar Nisal, senior vice president and managing director for Wipro UK & Ireland, has now been appointed chief executive officer for the Europe strategic market unit.

Nisal will report to CEO and managing director Srini Pallia, and will also join the Wipro executive board. Nisal succeeds Pierre Bruno, who is stepping down.

Nisal has been with Wipro since 2012, and ran the company’s EMEA banking business before taking the top UK and Ireland job.

Sarat Chand, currently managing director for Wipro Northern Europe, will replace Nisal in the UK and Ireland at the beginning of next year.
