audius acquires Swiss software services company

Germany’s audius is acquiring Swiss software services firm Ergonomics, based in Zurich. The acquisition expands audius’ expertise in software development in the areas of electronic payment transactions, banking, and IT security.

At the same time, the new subsidiary gives the audius group a strategic presence in the Swiss market, enabling it to continue its international expansion.

The Swiss company implements various software solutions, particularly for financial institutions, public administrations, and the retail sector. Ergonomics offers its customers customised development as well as solutions that are made available to them on a long-term basis through a SaaS model. In addition to software development, the company offers consulting services for IT security and related products.

audius says it will give Ergonomics the opportunity to establish its software products and services in the German market.

Ergonomics expects profitable sales in the “mid-single-digit million euro range” for the current year. The transaction will be closed with payment of the purchase price at the beginning of July 2025. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Ergonomics employs around 25 people in Zurich. The audius group was founded in 1991, and operates with nearly 700 employees with a focus on the DACH region at 20 locations worldwide, including 13 in Germany.
