Telenor Connexion, a specialist in connected business solutions and a part of Telenor Group, has announced an opening of its new office in Dusseldorf, Germany, to support its presence in the German-speaking part of Europe, it says.
Also, its sees the DACH region as a growing business opportunity due to the increased demand for connected business solutions. Therefore, the company plans to focus on this region for now.
Telenor Connexion has been present in the German market since 2011, however with a new office in place and several additional IoT experts it wants to support its growth in this part of Europe.
According to some experts, M2M technology will become a key competitive factor for Germany by 2020 in particular across the automotive and transport industries.
“We see a strong demand in the German-speaking region that is driven by the Industry 4.0 initiative and increasing customer awareness. With our solution, Telenor Cloud Connect, we reduced the complexity of connected solutions and – through partnerships - offer everything from hardware to web-based software from a single source. All in order to enable the safe operation of value-added client solutions,” says Head of market and Partner Strategy for the German region, Andrea Sroczynski.
Telenor Connexion was set up in 2008 and currently hires around 100 employees. It says it has been active in the M2M field since the 90s and the customer base includes Volvo Cars, Nissan, Scania, Allianz, Bornemann AG and Hitachi.
