Ex-KPN director expected to build cyber business

Dutch ICT security specialist Motiv has appointed Aksel Dorel as its Managing Director. He will take over from co-founder Ton Mooren who will move into a position of Financial Director.

Dorel, who has served as Director of Strategy, Portfolio and Marketing at the company since 2014, will now be responsible for running all the company’s management team and further expansion of the business, in particular across the managed security services segment. Prior to this, Dorel worked as Managing Director Trusted services at KPN and was a chairman of the Assembly of the European Network Cyber security (ENCS).

“In the coming years, we intend to further strengthen our market position and continue the steady growth of Motiv. We are confident that with Aksel on board, who is a strong and experienced administrative manager, we raise our positioning and services to a higher level. Thanks to his appointment, I will entirely focus on my passion which is converting market opportunities into a real business for Motiv,” comments Mooren.

Motiv delivers specialist solutions for complex issues in the field of ICT and security. Its solutions are based on the knowledge and products from leading vendors such Microsoft, Oracle, Juniper, Check Point Software Technologies, SecurEnvoy HP Arc Sight, Websense and Cisco, it says.
