Helmut Reisinger is the new chief executive officer of Orange Business Services, taking over from Thierry Bonhomme, who becomes special advisor to the chairman and CEO of Orange before retirement later this year.
Reisinger's appointment at the B2B branch of Orange comes after the Orange 5 March announcement of the creation of a “more diversified and international” executive committee within Orange. Reisinger will report to Stéphane Richard, chairman and CEO of the Orange group, and will be a member of the group’s executive committee.
Most recently, Reisinger was executive vice president, international at Orange Business Services, in charge of all international enterprise business activities, excluding France. As CEO, said Orange, he will direct the company strategy to support the digital transformation of enterprise customers in France and around the world.
"I believe our global talent, expertise and assets position us to deliver an unmatched experience for our enterprise customers worldwide,” said Reisinger.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the enterprise market and solutions space. Before joining Orange Business Services in 2007, Reisinger held management positions across Europe at Avaya, NextiraOne Germany and Alcatel Austria. Last year, Orange Business Services appointed Fabrice de Windt as senior vice president, Europe. De Windt was formerly the CEO of the Benelux region for BT. Orange Business Services has 22,000 employees worldwide and offers solutions around software defined networks, big data, IoT, cloud computing, unified communications and collaboration and cybersecurity.
The sort of business Orange is focusing on is like the contract it won with Amcor last year, a six year multi-million euro contract to improve employee communications across 43 countries at the plastic packaging firm. The deal includes telecoms expense management (TEM), mobile device management (MDM), mobile connectivity and SIP trunking to increase business flexibility and reduce costs.
