Switzerland's Codalis has been acquired by Germany-headquartered Bechtle to expand its cloud, mobility and managed services business in Western Switzerland. As a result, 40 Codalis staff will be added to Bechtle's payroll.
It is Bechtle's third acquisition in Switzerland in two months, after the firm also scooped up Algacom and Abissa Informatique. Run by founder Cédric Juillerat (pictured) since 2001, Plan-les-Ouates-bassed Codalis saw revenues of 10m Swiss francs (€9.2m) in fiscal 2018. The systems integrator has a focus on SME and enterprise customers in French-speaking Western Switzerland, with an offering ranging from IT consulting to IT infrastructure solutions.
Juillerat will continue in his current position as the company’s managing director. “Codalis adds highly-skilled IT engineers and technicians to the group, giving a boost to Bechtle’s cloud, mobility and managed services business in Western Switzerland,” said Bechtle.
Codalis has extensive experience in particular with customer projects in the finance and real estate sectors, as well as with international organisations. “Codalis is a modern, service-oriented IT company that will not only strengthen Bechtle’s presence in the market, but also enrich the group with the addition of excellent employees,” said Hanspeter Oeschger, executive vice president for IT systems integration and managed services in Switzerland for Bechtle AG.
Juillerat said: “The deal [for an undisclosed sum] means stability for our customers and employees and consistency in terms of corporate culture and service quality as we move forward together. Joining forces with Bechtle enables us to accelerate our development in Western Switzerland and cement our position as a strategic partner in the fields of infrastructure, cloud and mobility.”
