As a new report this week shows that half the IT decision makers in EMEA say they will explore new subscription models for hardware and/or software and 51% managed services for turnkey hardware/software, next weeks’ XaaS Summit will explore the issues as the world turns to services.
At current levels, subscriptions represent barely a third of IT solutions consumed. Within the next two years they will be approaching a majority, the report says, and the XaaS Summit will arm the channel for the change.
Those attending the virtual event will hear from leading players working in ecosystems as well as experts on selling services, research on which markets are moving fastest and ideas on changing business models.
All those attending can take part in a free consultation offer with one of Europe’s top “Secret shoppers” in the IT industry who will talk about common problems and the best practices. Vienna-based Aliena Partners will relate its experiences - good and bad - as a secret shopper talking with leading European services providers on behalf of some leading vendors, including Microsoft and IBM.
In particular it will be asked about any easy improvements and the top shortcomings among European providers and their processes.
Among the new research revealed next week will be Danielle VanZandt from Frost & Sullivan who will show just how security models changed in 2020 by shifting to services.
In a packed, fast-paced couple of hours, topics will range from cybersecurity, unified comms, data resilience and building a services practice, complete with questions from those attending and a debate among speakers. This will be essential viewing for anyone concerned with the pace of change and new initiatives needed in 2020.
