Channel-Sec next week to review cyber-security, sales techniques, techs

Channel-Sec Live on Tuesday October 20 will bring channels up-to-date on the latest growth markets, good practices and guidance,

The quick-fire online event kicks off with an entertaining tour around the available technologies with IDC's Rory Duncan on "Snog, Marry, Avoid - security technologies you need, and some you probably don't". Then Group Chief Information Officer at Anglian Water will talk about what doesn't work for him as a security customer. Steven Trippier, Group CISO and a former management consultant will talk with IT Europa Editor John Garratt about his frustrations as a customer; "I have a low tolerance for poor/lazy techniques and approaches."

He will highlight some examples of people who have cultivated a long-term relationship that provides benefits to all without "dropping any cheap sales tricks". 

Those attending the online version of the version of the successful channel engagement event which covers the way security is sold by the channel. In 2020, will also hear from experts from across the technology spread, including distribution. This will be welcomed by the many new entrants to the security channel as there is a new emphasis on countering cyber-attacks in 2020, with many new customers and vertical markets coming under pressure for the first time.
