Internet of Things connectivity and services vendor Digi International has appointed Topas electronic as its distributor in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Digi provides embedded solutions, integrated hardware and software to provide IoT connectivity to the medical, transit, retail, industrial and utility industries.
The Digi ConnectCore system on modules (SOM), the Digi XBee RF modules and the Digi Connect ME, NetSilicon and Rabbit semiconductor product portfolios will be available through the deal, complemented by a wide range of support services from Germany-headquartered Topas.
“Together with SOM and Digi XBee RF solutions comes Digi’s extensive support and a complete ecosystem,” said Thomas Fortmann, sales director and Topas board member. “Digi solutions help simplify design and accelerate time-to-market with minimised costs and risks for customers.”

Digi says its systems have helped customers connect more than 100m “things” globally.
