Circular IT provider Stone Group has appointed Sheryl Moore as its first head of sustainability in order to further bolster its Carbon Zero initiative.
Moore joins Stone from the Kier Group where she helped develop and successfully implement the business's social sustainability strategy.
Stone Group’s CEO Simon Harbridge expressed his delight about Moore joining the firm.
“Her extensive experience in social impact development and measurement, along with broader sustainability initiatives, will consolidate the fantastic progress we have made to date on many fronts and act as the catalyst to drive us forward to even greater heights,” he said. “Sustainability is vital for us as a business, just as it is for our customers and vendor partners, and we’re excited to see how far we can take this.”
In her newly created role, Moore will lead the delivery of CSR, ESG and sustainability strategies and policy, ensuring consideration for these areas is integrated throughout the business and can impact decision-making at all levels.
The firm said Moore’s appointment will ensure Stone continues on its trajectory to Net Carbon Zero, with a view to obtaining the PAS 2060 accreditation by 2030.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Stone Group, to lead the business on its journey to Net Carbon Zero,” Moore added. “Stone is leading the charge when it comes to circular sustainability and building on this reputation to meet our green targets is exciting. With a hugely committed leadership team, I have no doubt we will make rapid progress to achieve our goals.”
