Multi-cloud computing vendor Nutanix has appointed Rowen Grierson as senior director and general manager for the UK and Ireland.
Grierson (pictured) previously held the role of Nutanix’ regional sales director for Sub-Saharan Africa. In his new role, Grierson will be responsible for leading sales and customer support, strategic business development and strategy and management of Nutanix’s operational teams in the UK&I.
Additionally, he will oversee the company’s partnerships, alliances and channel activities in the region.
Grierson said: “I am looking forward to working more closely with our customers and partners in the region as we help them successfully address the challenges and opportunities dictated by the current economic and business climate.”
Originally from South Africa, but living in the UK for the last eight years, Grierson joined Nutanix in 2018 from Fortinet. He has over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry.
Sammy Zoghlami, SVP for EMEA at Nutanix, added: “Rowen has built a solid reputation and track record over the years. His passion for business and people has translated into consistent performance and explosive growth for Nutanix’s business.
“His leadership style fits perfectly with Nutanix’s philosophy of growing its business while developing our people and maintaining a dynamic and fun workplace.”
This August, Nutanix appointed Andrew Brinded as chief revenue officer. And a year ago, the firm promoted Adam Tarbox to the role of EMEA vice president of channel sales.
