US-listed Zayo Group has appointed former Equinix exec Bill Long as CPO with a remit to lead Zayo’s overall product, financial, and roadmap strategy.
Before Equinix, Long (pictured) held several roles at Level 3 Communications including VP of Voice Services, Senior Director of Voice Product Development and Director of Emerging Opportunities.
Long said: “As more of global GDP become digitally enabled, the criticality of fibre and communications infrastructure connecting the edge to core to clouds is becoming increasingly important. Zayo's geographic reach, along with its long-term commitment to network modernisation, has put the company in the ideal position to capitalise on this market opportunity.”
