SCC has closed a deal to buy £100-million-revenue IT reseller Vohkus, marking its first acquisition following the launch of its £300m investment initiative.
The acquisition enables SCC to expand its UK presence and provide more staff and services to customers.
SCC CEO James Rigby (pictured) said: “It was apparent from our first conversation that Vohkus shares our strong entrepreneurial culture, with exceptional customer experiences at the heart of everything it does.
“The long tenure of Vohkus’s people and the talent it has within its growing services business will add tremendous value to SCC. In return, we can help scale Vohkus as part of the SCC family.”
Ritchie Sharma, Co-Founder of Vohkus, will be retiring as a result of the deal, ceding management to the leadership of Frank O'Leary, Lance Forster, Ian Hounsome, and Graham Gaut.
O’Leary added: “This represents an opportunity to strengthen our product business further while significantly expanding our services offerings.”
