Global tape media management firm Insurgo is looking for more partners to sell its data storage services.
UK-headquartered Insurgo offers data tape erasure, tracking and destruction services.
End customers are able to send tapes for either erasure/recycling or destruction to Insurgo, but its partner services business is said to be growing.
Partners rent patented equipment from Insurgo to service the needs of large organisations, who pay for third party tape management at their premises.
Most banks, for instance, don’t want old and unwanted tapes to leave their data storage vaults, so they pay well known companies like Iron Mountain to manage data wiping and/or disposal on-site.
Iron Mountain happens to be an Insurgo partner, and Insurgo wants to sign up a number of others around Europe that can use its kit to safely handle unwanted, but sensitive data.
At the recent IT Press Tour of Berlin, Paul Box (pictured), a consultant to the management team at Insurgo, said: “The tape management services business is a growing one and we would welcome any potential partners to contact us.”
