ABC Data also tried to buy Ingram Micro's target

Notice filed with authorities reveals state of negotiations, now halted

ABC Data, the Polish distributor, has revealed that it had entered into the negotiations with the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) Division of RRC Group, RRC Poland, a few months before it was officially acquired by Ingram Micro last week.

According to the official statement made by ABC Data, the company informed the Polish Financial Supervision Authority in July 2015 that it had expressed intent to begin talks with RRC Poland, however the company decided not to reveal the information to the public at that time as it might have had an impact on the final outcome of the negotiations. At the same time, ABC Data obliged to reveal the delayed information no later than March 31, 2016.

As of now, ABC Data understands that the recent steps taken by RRC Poland which include entering into a definitive agreement with Ingram Micro are equal to formal termination of any ongoing negotiations with ABC Data and that, additionally, all the negotiations have been broken off by the seller’s side.

In its statement, ABC Data also indicates that its board has not been officially notified by the seller’s side about their intentions. Therefore the company has made the decision to reveal the delayed information to the public as of now.
