Agilitas takes Fortinet to global partners and MSPs

International channel services provider Agilitas IT Solutions has expanded its offering to include security solutions from Fortinet, becoming an Integrator Partner for resellers and managed service providers.

Nottingham, UK-based Agilitas says the recent move to home working as a result of the pandemic has led to a significant increase in cyber attacks, because many organisations neglected to update security policies. It will offer Fortinet technology to the channel to help mitigate the problem in the market.

Shaun Lynn (pictured), CEO of Agilitas, said: “We understand from discussions with our partners that they are concerned about security in today’s changing world. We have therefore decided to partner with Fortinet, giving partners access to first-class security solutions. As a vendor-agnostic solutions provider we were able to incorporate Fortinet into our portfolio quickly.”

Agilitas has also become an HP Business Partner, enabling it to further support partners accessing HP desktop, laptop and print technologies and services. The company manages spare parts inventories across server, storage and networking technologies and delivers technical services to customers across 60 countries.

In the same remote working space, cloud data management and security vendor Acronis recently updated its partner programme to help the channel mitigate the effects of the ongoing pandemic. The enhanced 2020 Acronis #CyberFit Partner Program will help support over 50,000 partners and technology industry alliances, with new tools, extra marketing funds and new financing options.

The tailored programme accounts for more end customer staff working from home as well as new and increased cyber threats as a result. To help partners support secure, remote working environments, the vendor is offering enterprise-grade file sync and share technology at no additional cost to their customers.
