AI is expected to be the main budget focus for 40% of respondents in 2024, with 75% recognising its business benefits.
Investments in IT automation and machine learning are also rising, with 37% planning to allocate funds, up from 20% last year.
Cybersecurity remains a top concern, with 43% identifying it as their primary challenge and 45% planning to enhance cybersecurity solutions. Key areas include security awareness training (45%), email security (43%), penetration testing (36%), and vulnerability scanning (35%).
Efficiency in IT processes is a priority for 42% of respondents, with many preferring all-in-one solutions.
Economic uncertainties are impacting IT spending, with 39% expecting software spending to be affected, leading to a preference (40%) for shorter vendor contracts.
