Glasgow-based Microsoft solution partner Akari Solutions Group has been acquired by US-based Woolf Partner.
Stuart Fenton, Managing Partner for Woolf Partners, said: “This is a strategic investment to build upon the potential of Akari’s technical talent and ideas that have already made such a positive impact.”
QUANTIQ’s former COO Andrea Bright will become Akari’s new CEO and company founder Margaret Totten will remain on the board and focus on marketing.
Totten said: “Stuart and his team bring capital and a wealth of experience to help drive and grow Akari to greater heights.”
Other new appointments include Derek Walton as CFO, with Woolf Partners Mike Lazenby and Peter Martin becoming Non-Executive Board Members.
Akari plans to open a new office in London near Microsoft in the future, but its main base will remain in Glasgow.
