Daisy Group spin-out Allvotec has acquired networking and physical infrastructure services provider ISG Technology. The acquisition enables Allvotec to bolster its networking, WiFi and infrastructure capabilities, while also adding the experience and expertise of the Egham-headquartered ISG team to its business.
Allvotec was launched this June and its first acquisition adds an additional 175 staff across the UK and Bulgaria (where ISG has a network operations centre) and in excess of £25m of revenue. The value of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
“This is further evidence of the company’s intent to become the leading unified communications and technology services provider to partners,” said Allvotec.
The £100m-turnover Daisy Partner Services became independent of the Daisy Group and was rebranded as Allvotec, as it sought to gain more partner business with channel players. Northampton-based Allvotec helps run ICT for customers of major services businesses across the UK. With over 1,400 employees, the firm claims to have the largest independent ICT engineering field force in the UK, serving systems integrators, outsourcers, managed service providers, value added resellers, management consultants, OEMs and communications specialists.
Although Allvotec is still owned by Matthew Riley and Daisy Group's other shareholders, it has its own separate office and IT systems. It wants to promote the fact it supports the service needs of other companies, not just Daisy Group's.
Glen Williams, CEO of Allvotec, said: “ISG complements and strengthens our existing portfolio and positions Allvotec for further growth.”
Dave Gardner, CEO of ISG, said: “This acquisition is a major milestone in ISG’s 35-year trading history, becoming part of Allvotec is a fantastic opportunity to deliver our services to a much broader set of partners and customers.”
ISG Technology is a provider of services for the design, deployment and management of enterprise network connectivity. It has specific expertise in the retail, automotive, hospitality, quick service restaurant and ICT and telecoms sectors, supporting companies that have large multiple-site operations.
