Arrow EMEA to offer specialist servers

Distributor sees opportunity in rising market share for specialist configurable servers, signs AIC

Recognising the growth of specialist ODM/OEM servers first seen in IDC's surveys of sales, Arrow has signed an EMEA-wide agreement with Taiwan-based AIC Systems. AIC’s OEM/ODM server and storage solutions will offer customisation with storage options and a range of interfaces.

“The AIC Systems product line boosts our strategy in EMEA, empowering us to deliver high-performing, competitively priced white label server and storage solutions,” said Amir Mobayen, vice president and general manager, Arrow OEM Computing Solutions EMEA. “OEMs in markets such as Broadcast and Security & Surveillance demand innovative form factors combined with the latest technology and Arrow OCS has the flexibility to customise a solution.”

“We identified the need to collaborate with a leading OEM solution provider to grow our business in key market sectors in EMEA,” said Jeff Lin, vice president sales, AIC.

The AIC OEM/ODM portfolio offers storage solutions including Direct-Attached Storage (DAS), Network-Attached Storage (NAS), and IP-SAN storage solutions that support the major interfaces including Fibre Channel (FC), Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and Serial ATA (SATA). In addition, AIC’s general-purpose servers and storage servers are customisable modular platform solutions with technologies such as AIC’s MAX I/O.

Working with OEM computing customers, Arrow’s OEM Computing Solutions’ technical teams throughout EMEA can now offer these when architecting new solutions, adding value through customisation and integration with software and user-interface technologies. Arrow also offers product approval, supply-chain and logistics management, and post-design support.
