AVG Business opens German, DACH offices

Targeting SMBs in the region with latest RMM package and localisation

AVG Business has opened new offices in Germany and Switzerland to help drive its wider portfolio into those markets. Investment in these offices, local people and resources is visible evidence of the changes that have taken place and aims to reinforce AVG Business in managed cloud and mobile security applications.

Mike Foreman, AVG Business General Manager, says this is all about “feet on the street” and part of a plan for a stronger business in Europe in 2015, building on the acquisition of Norman AV which already had strong channel in the Nordics and DACH region.

It coincides with the opening of AWS in Frankfurt, so is good timing for building more in managed services. Germany already has a loyal reseller base, he says, with a distributor in place for the last fifteen years, but now is the time for a push, with the AVG business portfolio offering a lot more potential, particularly among service providers and in mobile.

It will focus on the German and DACH SMB market with education and a series of roadshows before perhaps moving onto the Nordic market. In particular it wants to appeal to those new service providers who perhaps came from the IT world, but see no future in break/fix deals and want to build sustainable business.

At the same time AVG will reveal the availability of the latest release of its flagship AVG Business Managed Workplace platform. Version 9.1 is the latest release of AVG’s fully-integrated, open ecosystem remote monitoring and management (RMM) software designed for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and their small-to-medium sized business customers.
