Security vendor Bitdefender has appointed Christian Stanford as senior director of EMEA channel operations. Stanford, a UK native, is tasked with advancing the vendor's drive into the enterprise market and “deepening its commitment to channel partners”.
Stanford brings more than 20 years of industry experience and will oversee the consolidation of the company’s channel efforts and the “optimisation of channel programmes” throughout the EMEA region, said the vendor. He will report to Joe Sykora, VP of global sales and channels.
"Bitdefender is committed to investing and serving channel partners worldwide and we are delighted that Christian, a true channel and industry veteran, has joined the Bitdefender team," said Sykora. “With his rich expertise and network, we can further deepen the already successful commitment to our partner programme throughout EMEA."
Christian Stanford said: "I look forward to expanding our channel offering in each region and developing strategies to support our partners in their continued growth. I see great opportunities here, especially as Bitdefender now adds a network security analytics solution, offering businesses a mature security lifecycle."
Stanford previously held executive roles at Citrix Systems, McAfee and Check Point Software.
