Bridewell boosts managed security with new director

Cyber-security services company Bridewell Consulting has brought in Martin Riley (pictured) as director of managed security services. He will also be joining the firm's board.

Riley will be responsible for leading the continued growth and scaling of Bridewell’s managed portfolio, including the company’s 24x7 security operations centre (SOC) and managed detection and response (MDR) service. He has nearly 20 years’ experience in designing, implementing and leading on secure networking solutions across on-premise, public, private and hybrid cloud services.

Before joining Bridewell, Riley was CTO of Timico, responsible for the strategic direction and digital transformation of the business as well as service development. Prior to this, Riley was head of infrastructure at managed cloud services provider and integrator Adapt.

Riley said: “Managed security services continues to be one of the biggest growth areas in IT and I look forward to helping develop opportunities to expand Bridewell’s services, mature our capabilities and strengthen our position in the security market.”

Over the last two years, Bridewell says business has grown 75% year-on-year.
